Fashion weeks are the home of bloggers. However, Vogue is not too happy to have bloggers live and lead fashion weeks. Sigh. It is sad when the old is not able to appreciate the emergence of the new. I have lots of say about this hot social media topic but I will keep my views safe for another post. Instead, I want to tell you about the best fashion accounts to follow during fashion month.
I didn’t make it out to Milan or Paris because we are moving to the west coast. But even though I wasn’t there, it felt like I was sitting front row. How? The power of social media. Thank you Instagram and Snapchat!
With fashion month, you may not be able to attend the shows or view it by streaming the shows real time, you may be looking for excellent coverage. I figured out the problem for you. To see the shows live and direct along with behind the scenes footage of the dinners, parties, innovative invitations and gifts, I highly recommend you follow the following accounts for the most awesome coverage on Instagram and Snapchat.
@Shionat- Contributing Editor of @thecut magazine
Young, fresh and fun coverage with a lot of designer outfits and twirling.
@Eveachen212- Fashion at Instagram and Writer
Hilarious commentary, front row coverage, cool shoes and this season she is preggy so you get to see everything she eats. Even a special salad delivery from former Lanvin designer, Albert Elbaz.
@Kendowningnm- Senior Vice President of Neiman Marcus
His fun handwriting adds to the instastories. He covered the Mugler show the best!
@Jan.quammie- Fashion Director of @Instyle Germany
I found this account this year and the colour drew me to her page and the fashion coverage. You may also find her on vogue.com in their streetstyle coverage.
@ElleCanada- Canada’s Leading magazine in fashion
ElleCanada has a unique approach to covering the show. They give you a sneak peek and then direct you to their snapchat for more details. Cool way of getting both audiences engaged.
Tina Craig is the original bagsnob. She is not only front row royalty during fashion week, she is a private jet travelling powerhouse who took her blog and made it major. You may see @bryanboy on her page and you will see her many fashion collaborations with reputable brands! #girlboss.
@Handinfire- Actress
The coverage flows so perfectly with her own fashion experiences during fashion week.
@KarlaOtto- PR firm
Karal Otto is the PR firm of the biggest fashions houses of the world so the coverage is awesome. When you follow their account you get to see up and coming designers as well and parties and private brands hosted by the firm for the designers they represent.
If you are a fashion lover with a serious need to see more during fashion month, follow these accounts and you won’t be disappointed.
Did I miss any?
