3 Reasons Why You Should Stay at Coqui Coqui in Mexico| MsChurchDress | Travel Blog

Filed in: Travel

My stay at Coqui Coqui was breathtaking. I received dozens of DMs about where I stayed on the second part of my trip to Tulum. You may have seen some of the photos on my Instagram and probably wondered where the hotel was.  I shared 5 things you should know before going to Tulum but I wanted to specifically review this hotel. No, this not sponsored in anyway. I paid for my stay and absolutely enjoyed it.

Coqui Coqui has two locations in Mexico and there are many more around the world include Bora Bora. I stayed at the location in Coba. I only checked in for a few nights and after only three nights, I experienced a whole new world of “miniature hotels” as I would like to call them, meaning only a few rooms on the property. From the moment I checked in at the lobby, I knew I wanted to share my review with you all.

Let’s get into it.

Here Are 3 reasons Why You Should Stay at Coqui Coqui in Mexico.

High Levels Of Privacy

The Coba location only has five rooms. There are two suites and three regular rooms. I stayed in the a regular room ( which was not regular at all.) and my friends stayed in the suite. The suite was larger and had a lounge area. The regular room didn’t have a seating area but had a beautiful view of the plunge pool and the water nearby.

Five rooms was the highlight for me. I have been to hotels all over the world but it felt so luxe to stay in a hotel with five rooms and to basically have all of the attention of the staff. At times I forgot other people were staying there as well. Ekk! The staff made us feel very special and were very attentive. We stayed in room number three it s quiet, peaceful, and romantic.

All of the rooms have diffusers made locally at the Coqui Coqui perfumery.

Wide Variety Of Food And Drink Options

As my Trini family would say… Talk about food! There were so many food options. I have been on a special eating plan for the past couple of weeks and I still was able to enjoy a healthy, excellent meal. Because there are only five rooms therefore not many people, you pretty much feel like you are eating at a lavish dining table at home.

The seats in the main dining room are low (watch out if you have knee problems) and lower tables which added a unique dining experience. You could basically eat and the fall asleep. The chair was the size of a large bed.

My suggestions:

La Rancheos for breakfast

Guac for pool side snacks. Also get the Ceviche.

Enjoy the lamb for dinner. I am vegetarian but our friends said it was awesome.

Oh. Take a few sips of the Honey smoothie.

Tip: Make sure you leave with a few of the Coqui Coqui body products. Coqui Coqui is a perfumery as well so they have an array of custom scents and products. From candles to diffusers to body oils they have it all. I loved the coco fragrance and my husband chose the tobacco fragrance.

Excellent Spa Services

One of the amenities offered at Coqui Coqui is the couple massage. We decided to book a massage at the last minute and the staff were so accommodating. We selected the 60 minute deep tissue massage. The massage is done in a room with ceiling to floor windowsclose to the water. There were curtains on the windows which were closed when we were changing into our robes.

We selected the body oils from the array of options for our massage.  Coqui Coqui was originally a perfumery and offers body oils made locally. After the massage we were offered tea. We sat an enjoyed it for 20 minutes. They offer more than massages as well so you can use exactly what you want.

The couple massage felt divine. We both enjoyed the massage so much we fell asleep. If you stay at Coqui Coqui, book your massage when you check in or prior to booking your stay. It was so relaxing and refreshing.

If you want to get away from the bustle of Tulum, book a few nights at Coqui Coqui.

Thank me later.

Tell them I sent you.
