Rain can really dampen your day. Ha! Get it? It has been raining like crazy in San Francisco and we got some heavy showers while I was in New York during Fashion week. Even if you may have missed the rain memo or dislike rain entirely you should keep your wardrobe prepared with a few rainday essentials. Here is my list of 5 Rain essentials for every closet.

Who doesn’t love a bit of pink? Well in this case a head to toe look of pink. I DO.
Good thing I brought this jacket to NYFW. It was raining for the first part of the trip. So this patent leather jacket kept me warm and dry. Annndd patent leather is back with a vengeance. I wore a pair of Who Wore What pants with a turleneck from Nordstrom. My boots are by Dav and the coat is from ASOS. I made my headpiece. Issa a look. Oh and I listened to Kanye and wore small glasses.

My second rainy day look was pretty much a full body raincoat. The pants, made out of patent leather, were excellent for repelling the rain. Even stylist June Ambrose complimented me and said it was the perfect look for the rain. I didn’t even need an umbrella. Hypehair.com loved this look so much, they added me to their 12 Head Turning Street Style looks from NYFW. I purchased the whole look from the Who What Wear collection from Target and it was a winner! Thank you Nairisha for this gorgeous photos.
