5 Reasons To Go To Paris During Fashion Week

At the end of 2018, I went to Paris during fashion week. What a fashion adventure. I was there for the fashion but it was such a learning experience. I had everything planned. I had my show tickets and looks. I booked my meetings and was ready to go.

My husband came along and together we navigated the city and fashion week. He brought his bikes along with him and was more focused on biking in Paris. He was doing his own thing which made me feel less guilty about attending all my shows. When we were together we spent a lot of time eating steak frites and pastries. We walked a lot and did everything French.

Paris Fashion Week is one of the biggest weeks in the fashion industry. Fashion is synonmus with Paris so if fashion is your thing you have to experience Paris fashion week.

There Are Shows Everywhere.

If you think the shows are only for celebs you are wrong. There are shows all over the city. Inside and outside and you can see your favorite bloggers, models and celebs going to shows. It was fun leaving one show and going to the next. Though you may not have an invite find out where the shows are and hang out there. You may just get in.

Practice Your French

In 2018, I wanted to improve my French. I studied for months and going to Paris was my test. Guess what, I passed. Because the primary language in Paris in French everyone is speaking it so it gives you an opportunity to practice and interact with the lovely, friendly people of Paris.

Lots of Photos

I love taking photos and Paris is filled with so many quaint spots to take photos. You can take photos at the effiele tower or just walk down the street to your local coffee shop and shoot there. You can use a photographer like I did or use a tripod.

Press Opportunities

During Paris Fashion Week there are many street photographers around. There are TV crews looking to interview people about shows and fashion. This I great opportunity to get press and great photos of your look

The Essence of Paris

Paris is magical during the day and at the night. There is so much to do. You can shop, eat and explore during the day. One day I met up with a group of friends and had a picnic on the canal. At night you must take a boat cruise and watch the Eiffel tower sparkle.
