Last year was a full year of travel for me and I earned my Elite 35 K status with Air Canada Altitude Priviledges. I also travelled business class on a lot of Air Canada flights and have a full review here.
Don’t sleep on travel rewards and flight loyalty programs. They do pay off. In 2012 I flew to Dubai with my husband solely on travel rewards. Whoot whoot! With my Elite 35K status I am able to enjoy some impressive privileges. My 35K status grants me the following:
Complimentary Checked Baggage Allowance – 3 complimentary checked bags (32 kilograms limit) on flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Air Canada rouge.
Priority Security Clearance – Access to dedicated security screening process lanes at eligible airports worldwide.
Priority Boarding – Board your flight first via a dedicated lane on flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Air Canada rouge.
Priority Rewards – Access to any unsold Economy Class Aeroplan ClassicFlight Reward seats on flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express, or Air Canada rouge.

I also love priority boarding because I don’t have to wait to get on the plane. It is always nice to get on the plane first and relax.
I am really looking forward to travelling more with Air Canada this year. I hope I can get to Elite 50K in 2017!

Do you collect travel points?
Have they worked in your favour?
