There is not other designer like Carolina Herrera. She stands out from the rest with regards to design, elegance and style. She has dressed the likes of Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga and Tina Fey. Carolina Herrera’s ability to design and create timeless, beautiful fashion is unquestionable. She is one of the few designers who successfully merges modernity with timeless silhouettes, colours and patterns. Along with being a phenomenal designer, Carolina Herrera is a beautiful person inside and out. What I have always heard is Carolina has the unique ability to connect with each person she meets.
The best of the best fashion people came out to Neiman Marcus last week to welcome Carolina Herrera to San Francisco. Just as much as we welcomed her, she welcomed us into her world of concise style.
I entered the third floor of Neiman Marcus San Francisco and it was bustling with men and women alike. The Neiman Marcus SAs scurried around welcoming their clients and guests to the invite only event. I carefully lifted a flute of sparkling water with lemon from one of the lacquered trays held by one of the servers.
I sat next to a guest who would quickly become my seatmate. We would chat and discuss fashion while waiting for the show the start. Ken Downing introduced Carolina Herrera, affectionately known as “Mrs. Herrera” and expressed his appreciation for her.
I sat front row quietly but with my phone in hand to cover all of the looks for my faithful Instagram followers. The anticipation is the part I love. I took a deep breath and then the show began.
“Jewel tones were also featured in green, rust and blue. I loved the sweaters with a crisp white shirt paired with pants or silk skirts. My favorite look was the nude tone capes dress which complimented the other bronze sequin dresses and tops.” – Aquila Farrell on Carolina Herrera.
Thank you Neiman Marcus San Francisco for the invitation and for showing the beautiful Carolina Herrera Collection.
