I take these trips for you all. I really want you all to experience what I experience. I want you to see these properties from my point of view and with my detailed-orientated eye. All of these opinions are my own and are authentic.
Visiting Dubai with JW Marriott Marquis Dubai was more than an experience; it exposed the JW Marriott standard that goes beyond borders and is a the benchmark that JW Marriott hotels always upholds at every property.
In this post I will share with you the details of my suite at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, this thing I call “service excellence” and my top 10 memories.
Luxury Suite at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai
The whole suite was controlled by a mini electronic tablet that set the room to different modes. There was soft lights for the spa mode, the “tidy mode” which lets the room staff know that the room is ready to be tidied and the “night mode” was lush darkness so you can sleep.
There was a his and hers closet divided by a chest of drawers. You know I loved this. Closets are my fave because I love hanging my clothes up neatly. I put my other tops and gym gear in the chest of drawers. Opposite the closet there was a makeup vanity with a full stool and super large mirror. Talk about luxury!
The bathroom was super white and super clean. There was a white stand alone tub ( that I soaked in about 3 times), a glass shower with a separate wet room. Oh yeah! – and the towels were super white.
The front powder room was elegant and was attached to the living and dining room. There were TVs everywhere. There was a TV in the bedroom and the living room. The bed had a ceiling to floor headboard. The bed was a comfy retreat after a long hot day in Dubai.
What stood out to me was the consistency in the presentation of the room and the care taken to make guests feel at home. From the welcome cupcakes to the sets of fluffy robes, I felt like JW Marriott Marquis Dubai was catering to my needs 100%.
Food at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai
The JW Marriott Marquis Dubai has over 14 restaurants with cuisines that include Indian, Japanese, Italian and even Peruvian. The Vault cocktail bar was on the 72nd floor and was right next to Prime68 steakhouse. Prime68 is on the top of the hotel and it is a must visit. The ambiance was exceptional with the option of a private dining room, white fringed booths or tables right next to the window for a city view. Prime68 offers a full fine dining experience.
I had the privilege of being served by Cecilia who was recently awarded the Waiter of the Year award. Cecilia guided me through the process of ordering my meal. I started with the buratta salad and a berry mocktail. My main was the New York Steak dinner. Is it weird that I liked the sauces more than the actual steaks? Ha! The truffle butter (Cecilia’s suggestion) was phenomenal as well as the in house made steak sauce. To end my meal, I had to have the cheesecake which was a hearty serving but it was so good.
While sitting at my seat, various staff came to my table inquiring about how my food was, refilling the marvelous garlic bread and topping up my water. I was not bothered and felt like I was enjoying my meal with their help.
At the end of dinner, I was escorted by one of the managers who then pressed the elevator button for me and waited until the elevator came to send me off. If you can tell me of another hotel that has that level of service, I would be surprised.
This leads me to a topic I like to call…. Service Excellence.
Service Excellence at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai
Everyone wants to experience excellent service. I won’t compromise on service – sorry. If you are in the service business, you better bring the best service. As you know I have been to JW Marriott Los Cabos and now in Dubai and I must say that the service excellence was so consistent! Service excellence is my term for describing all elements of service at a hotel.
When you travel you are completely outside of your comfort zone. You are away from home, you are in a new country and you just may have forgotten something at home. This is where the service excellence comes in.
JW Marriott Marquis Dubai is comprised of two towers and has many elevators to service both. It is the tallest hotel in the world at a height of 355 metres. JW Marriott Marquis Dubai is 35 metres taller then the Eiffel tower. There are over 608 guest rooms with over 8000 sq metres of event space.
From the dates on my pillow to the concierge that booked my excursions, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai made my stay easy. The Executive Lounge was a one stop shop for food, drinks and relaxation; every time I went there I was greeted and welcomed to enjoy all of the delicious foods. The Executive Lounge is a full access lounge with food and drinks and also houses the business centre where you can host meetings with colleague and business partners.
There was also a full gym – The Club Marquis Health Club – that had a weight rack, exercise balls, cardio machines and cables. Every morning as I walked through the doors at Club Marquis, I was welcomed with a towel and a bottle of water. At the end of my workout, I would grab a chilled towel and be on my way. The Club Marquis Health Club was right next to the Saray Spa with 17 treatment rooms. The spa was beautiful with a wide variety of beauty treatments. There was also a women’s and men’s salon. These services were all available on the property. You pretty much never have to leave JW Marriott Marquis Dubai for anything.
At all hotels, I really want to see the pool. The pool at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai was located on the Mezzanine floor. It was a whooping 32 metre long with underwater speakers. I also loved that it had a smaller wading pool for children as well as a “’ledge” for children to sit on and play in the water while parents watched. There were cabanas and many lounge chairs. There was a bar and restaurants nearby or you could order you food and have it delivered poolside.
Making Memories at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai
When you go on vacation, the only things you can take back home with you are a couple of souvenirs and the memories. You want to stay at a hotel that will help make those memories via experiences, foods and fun.
