Treasured: Chanel Pin

Filed in: Fashion

You know that one piece that you have always wanted? The piece that you saw your aunts wear and as a kid you documented all of the outfits you would wear with it when you get older? Yeah! This Chanel pin is that piece.

I have a unique fascination with Chanel in that I only appreciate vintage Chanel pieces. Vintage pieces just have this history, this beauty, this authenticity. The gold is just gold-er in vintage pieces. The leather is more leathery and the age of each piece strikes a chord with my fashion heart.

My new vintage Chanel pin was a piece I wanted for years but couldn’t find it. Finally I spotted it from a trusted online source and snapped it up. From the day it arrived, I have been wearing it with everything from beachwear, evening wear and casual looks. It’s gold and can be worn with so many colours and it matches my vintage Chanel Jumbo bag. It is also the perfect size for my… porportions! Ha! I am all about porportions. You do not want anything too big or too small. Everything should be just right!

My dear friend Kami gave me this Iman coffee table book and I thought the beautiful women featured in the book were not only beautiful but were a inspiration for my love of gold and my new Chanel pin.

Vanessa Williams, Serena and Venus Williams, Alicia Keys and Iman are women that are talented, intelligent and have made their mark on the  fashion world.
Their skin is golden.
Their hair is golden…just like my new treasured piece.
