Christian Wijnants Fall 2019 | Paris Fashion Week Review

Filed in: Fashion, Style

I’ve had my eye on Christian Wijnants ever since I attended his show in Paris last season. I remember watching the collection walk the runway, the color palettes looked exactly like my closet and I loved his eye for patterns. I was devastated when I couldn’t attend his show in February because I was undergoing surgery but that didn’t stop me from watching the show from the comfort of my home and when I say home… I mean Instagram geotag tracking.

I watched every snippet of video I could find on Instagram and looked at the press photos and here are my top 5 pieces from the collection. I also included some of the my other fav pieces. Take a look. You won’t be disappointed.

The Fall’ 19 collections were filled with gems. When I say gems I mean gem tones… and prints… and volume. Wow.  Mono-pattern looks with tailored suits, trenches and diagonal patchwork- eque pieces stood out to me. Wijnants is excellent at designing separates along with dresses. He dominates both Men’s and Women’s design with an androgynous take on ready to wear. Many of his pieces can be worn easily from day to night and could be worn by both men and women alike. I love switching up my flats for heels and adding a clutch to really make it an evening look.

His understanding of knits and how to turn to them into sensational designs is evident in this show-stopping pieces. Once again the shoes were the hit to me, especially these blue boots.

Looking forward to picking up pieces from this collection.

Congrats Christian and the team.
