Color has always been my thing. I love each and every color equally but I love purple the most. When I started my blog I wanted to be different and include more color in my blog. Black and white seemed to be the theme in blogging at that time but I thought to myself, where is the color? My mandate was to fill my blog with color and that continues to be my focus.

My friend and fellow blogger Jocelyn Tran knows how much I love color and kindly invited me to the Color Factory in San Francisco. The Color Factory is an art exhibition slash, instagrammer’s second home slash color fanatic’s dream. The concept 12,000 square feet space was filled with art exhibitions created by a variety of artists with a focus on color. The Color Factory is loved by Conde Nast and other reputable creative entities.

Each room was a different color or theme. Imagine a room of ceiling to floor ribbons, a giant room with walls that looked like a coloring book you could color with a giant marker and a massive adult sized lite brite room. It was crazy.

My version of Controlla

My favorite room was the blue room sponsored by AlaskaAir. The room was blue themed and full of blue giant blue balloons. For some reason I really loved this room although I am not a fan of blue at all. After taking pictures, I sent them to my brother. He quickly reminded me that this room was very similar to Drake’s stage design for his recent tour. Controlla vibes. My fav artist is Drake so why I was drawn to it made sense. Ha!

Another room I really loved was the orange room. Once again, I am not a fan of orange but it was a room filled of all things orange. This included markers, basketballs and baseball caps. Oh and I loved the cheese balls and Cheez- ITS. Hilar!

My most favorite room was the room filled with 10,000  ribbons. It was created by senior citizens who hand tied super long ribbons to a metal grid. They were all different colors and it was literally my dream. I love ribbons. I love crafts. I love making things. So a room of ribbons was my thing. I also loved learning about the process and seeing the beautiful and intricate result.

The exhibit is completely sold out in San Francisco but even if you can’t get in head over there and look at the beautiful design outside. If you are worried about going alone and not having someone to take photos of you, the Color factory has everything set up for you with their photo card. Everytime you scan it at their photo booth you will get a photo emailed to you. Let me know if you go to  Color Factory. It is so worth it.
