Flower and Red Sole Power

Filed in: Fashion

Florals for summer… cliché I know but still an easy way to look fashionable, colourful and chic. Florals are beautiful but remember, proportions. Don’t just grab a foral dress and slap it on. Look at the pattern and look at yourself. Does this foral work for you? Does it compliment you skin tone? Does the style of dress or garment highlight the beautiful parts your body? Asking these questions makes the difference between an ok look and an excellent look.

These are questions I ask myself everytime I put together an outfit. Putting on clothing and accessories is not just something you do it is a further extension to yourself and your love for yourself.

So on to self-love… love yourself fully.  I know it is easier said than done. It took me years to finally love myself fully. It actually takes practice and you have to make a dedicate effort to put yourself first. Despite all of the flaws we all have, there are so many beautiful qualities that draw others to you and causes your light to shine.
The things you may not like about yourself can be the things that other people love about you. Weird eh? But true. Think about who you are and what you have to offer the world. These attributes are what you should love about yourself the most. Shine them everywhere you go and show them to the people you meet.

I made this dress a while back.  I saw one similar in Holts but in black lace and I went home and made the exact one in stretch floral.  The cut is the kicker. When you walk, the hem moves and the dress flows.
 Full heat and vibes.

The purple and pink floral pattern ( my favorite colours) caught my attention along with it being a two-way stretch fabric.
It hugs the body while giving movement and flare.

My trusty Royal Purple So Kate Louboutins were the perfect match to the purple flowers in the fabric. The pop of red sole make a statement when looking at the outfit from the back, the rise of the shoe looks great from the side and the pointed toe lengthens my leg from the front.

When I received a Hermes enamel bracelet from my husband, I didn’t think I would get much wear out of it. I was wrong. I wear it almost everyday. Though I am a gold girl, the silver and purple pairing are simple yet impactful.

Are florals your thing?
Is self-love your thing?
It better be!
