Furla Spring Summer 2019 Mediterranean Collection | Milan Fashion Week

Filed in: Fashion, Style

Furla is one of my favorite  accessories brands. You have seen their pieces on my blog time and time again. My husband introduced me to Furla two Christmas’ ago when he gave me one of their metropolis bags with an interchangeable flap. Since then I have been a fan.

While I was in Milan, I attended the Furla presentation. The scenery was beautiful. I felt like I was in the Mediterranean. There was a booth for photos, a floral booth, live ban and Italian scooter. Even with all of these gorgeous details, I wanted to see the collection.

I walked into the presentation and the walls looked like water and the handbags looked like they were floating on the sea. The theme of the Spring Summer  2019 Women’s and Men’s Collection was the Mediterranean sea #furlamediterranea. Aldo Furlanetto, the founder of Furla dedicated the collection to the Mediterranean sea because this collection was inspired by the culture of Italian cities near the sea. Their craftmanship, traditions and villages are represented in the collection.

The bags have a nautical feel with ropes, red, blue and white colors as well as gold and silver hardware. I have seen nautical theme collections before but this one was not cheesy. Furla captured the elements of boats while adding their own interpretation. The women’s collection is made of navy canvas with black velvet and gold thread. It is reminiscent of Navy Uniforms. The men’s collection has a gorgeous bag color blocked in black and white leather with a black cordshaped in a “U”. This bag is called the Furla Maestrale Trieste and even though it is in the Men’s Collection, I think it would be the perfect addition to my collection.

You can shop the entire Furla Collection here.

Furla is on a wave. Literally!
