NYC Mood

As you know, I am in New York for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and my cousin’s wedding. Going to NYC is always a treat. The fashion and food and did I say the fashion.
 
As a nod to NYC I put together his May J. Blige, June Ambrose- esque look with pieces from H&M, Zara and Nike. Yes Nike. Ha! I shot this looks weeks ago but wanted to wait until this trip to tell you all about it. Isn’t it the perfect NYC tribute look?
 
Not my typical look but I had to do this one for New York.
The leather jacket and printed “ New York” Baseball shirt are from H&M. I picked up the skirt years ago from Zara. The front is also leather but the back is cotton. It is really stretchy and fits really nicely. Though it is short, it is comfy. The stockings are by HUE.
 
The turban I whipped up from some old fabric. How I tied it? I really don’t remember but will try to post a tutorial.
  

I wasn’t not too sure about the sneakers but after wearing them a few times I feel in love. They are comfy even though there is a wedge. The black on black tone is  smooth and feel luxurious.
 
 I usually wear these to the airport and they don’t hurt. They give you height and make you feel soo chic while being casual and relaxed.
