SheaMoisture Product Review

Filed in: Beauty

Picture

You can find SheaMoisture everywhere. If you go on social media you will find hundreds of women and men raving about the high quality and effectiveness of their products. I initially fell in love with SheaMoisture hair products. The hair products worked well and kept my hair shiny and moist. But recently I have become interested in SheaMoisture‘s body product line. I mean if the products work well for my hair they should be excellent for my skin health. Right? Right!

I received a huge box of SheaMoisture products and am so happy to have them in my beauty collection and regime. I received a variety of products from hand and body scrubs, to massage oils and body washes. There are so many of them, so I reviewed a few of them, how I use them and I rated each one out of five stars.

Here are the products I have used and love:

SheaMoisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Energizing Hand & Body Scrub with Imbe Oil & Aloe

I was skeptical about this product at first. Hand & Body scrub? Huh? For a longtime I wanted to try this but wasn’t sure. Well, this product put me in my place. I. Love. This. Product. Congrats SheaMoisture for creating the perfect texture of hand & body scrub.

The scrub texture is perfect. When you rub it on your skin it doesn’t scratch your skin. The actual scrub crystals are the right size. They aren’t too small that you can’t wash them off easily and they are not too big to leave you covered in marks or scars.  Other scrubs I have used had crystals that were too big and left my skin damaged. This scrub feels like a brown sugar but is clear like coconut water. Sheer Island vibes! The coconut smell is just right. It is not too strong but strong enough for your husband to notice.  Whoot Whoot.

I use this daily. Sometimes I use a large dollop and other times I use just a little on my feet. This is a great product to gift your friends or yourself for a fun night of pampering. I am so excited to try the other scents I received.

10 stars out of 5 stars.

SheaMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Sensitive Skin Facial Cleansing Oil with Date Palm & Camellia Extracts

This product smells beautiful. What makes this cleansing oil unique is when you work it in your hands with water, it doesn’t get frothy, it becomes creamy . When I apply it to my face, it feels like a creamy oil and takes a while to wash off.  I think this is because of the nutrients, oils and extracts. If you open you eyes while you are washing you face with it, your eyes will burn. Trust me. I learned the hard way. I think this is soley because of the rich ingredients and not because of any harmful chemicals.

I don’t use this cleansing oil daily. I only use it twice a week because it is oil based so I am precautious. I prefer a cream or gel based cleanser on my face so this product, though effective is not a must have for me.

 Out of 5 stars, I give this a 3.

SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex Soap with Mango Butter

I put a picture of Superfruit Complex soap on my Instagram and got many requests to review it. It is a fantastic product. When I use it, I almost don’t need to use lotion or oil after because my skin is super moisturized, smooth and supple.  The fuchsia pink colour of the soap is so vibrant and when I use it with my purple washcloth, it looks like a huge skittle. Ha! It hasn’t dried out my skin or left it ashy.

I have been using this soap for a few weeks, sometimes twice a day and I definitely see a difference in the smoothness of my skin. It also smells divine. The fragrance is is fruity and flirty. I wouldn’t use this on my face but when I used it on my body, it feels like a spa day.

6 out of 5 stars!

SheaMoisture Lavender & Wild Orchid Dry Oil Mist with Arnica Extract

My skin is a major priority in my beauty routine. The SheaMoisture Dry Oil Mist
has added moisture, shine and essence to my skin. I use it right after the shower while my skin is damp. The moisture and fragrance lasts. I really love the spray bottle the product comes in so you can control the amount of oil you want to apply to your skin.

TIP: Spray this on before bed to wake up with soft, silky skin.

12 out of 5 stars!

SheaMoisture Zanzibar Marine Complex Replenish & Rejuvenate Body Wash with Black Pearl Protein  & Sea Buckthorn Oil

I received this body wash in a gift bag from a fundraiser event and once again, I left is on the shelf for few months. Major regret. First of all, the texture of this body wash is like silk and makes your skin feel super soft. It is a body wash but I use it to shave my legs.  Ekk! The slip of the product makes shaving  easy and fast. Even as a body wash, the pearl protein nourishes your skin and you can feel the Sea Buckthorn Oil penetrating your skin. Oh yeah, each time you purchase this product which is apart of the Community Commerce Fights Poverty, 10% is given to women-led businesses. Beauty and charity all in one!

5 out of 5 stars.

I have a few more products to review so look out of my second SheaMoisture review.

Which ones are you going to try?

That Superfruit Complex oil is everything!!! I want to try a ton of other Shea Moisture products such as the african black soap collection, the bar soaps, and any of the scrubs. Good job on reviewing a few of their products!
