Spending Valentines Day Alone

Filed in: Uncategorized

Who likes to spend Valentine’s Day alone? Not me but this year I am… not exactly but you know. I am at NYFW and it is my first time being away from my husband during this season of love. Land and sea cannot prevent me from showing my baby some love.

This post is not going to be about only fashion but I want to share with you all of the things I learned about love in the past few years:

Love at First Sight is Real

I met my hubby at a church. Yes. A church. Ha! And I know it sounds weird, it was love at first sight. He looked at me and I knew this was the person I would spend my life. This year we will be celebrating 5 years of marriage.

Love Just Shows up Sometimes

Love just shows up and you have to be ready. Being ready simply means that your heart is open and prepared for love. My love for my Godson just happened. He was born and he immediately owned a piece of my heart. He was so little and delicate and my heart melted! I was overcome with emotion and thought to myself ” This is love”. He taught me a valuable lesson about being prepared to love others. Chris means the world to me and is my main motivation to achieve more. He is my inspiration and reminds me to love daily.

Love is Universal

Anywhere you go, you will find love. I have been to so many countries and even though there maybe language barriers or different cultures, love is the language of the world. Though love maybe shown differently, it is still understood  and felt.
I threw together this look for Valentines Day in honour of my baby.

I love you baby. Words are not enough. I hope my actions show.

Spread love.
Show Love.
Send Love.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you!
