Here comes my first iTravel post of 2017… in 5..4…3..2..1!

I am so excited about my travel plans for 2017. There are so many destinations for me to visit in 2017. In 2017, I visited 8 countries and 19 destinations.  What will this year hold? Regardless of how much travel I do in 2017, I will always bring you’re the best, detailed review of each country and city I visit. Where to eat, what to do and how to fly will always be the topics of my iTravel posts.

Travel has changed my life completely. I have  a love for being on a plane. Yes I know some people are afraid of flying but I’m not. There is a sense of freedom on a plane and I love the little stir sticks they give you with your drinks.

One of my final trips in 2016 was to  dun dun dun, Vegas. Would you believe I have neve been to  Las Vegas before. It was a fun getaway with my husband ( who has been before) and he was a great tour guide.

Where We Stayed

Looking at my camera roll, I realized that I do not have much photos of the hotel. We stayed with Hilton Grand Vacation as this was a press trip. Sponsored. Ha! The suite was fantastic. It had a mini kitchen and was recently renovated.

The suite would be perfected for a small family in that you can make your own food and hang out by the TV. There was a TV in both the bedroom and the family room so my husband and I could each enjoy the TV at the same time. The bathroom was huge with a glass shower and double sink.

I would recommend this hotel for families. It was a little further way from the strip but worth it if you want to save a bit of money. On my next trip of Vegas,  I would prefer to stay closer to the strip to compare both experiences.

Vegas can be cliché. The bachelorette parties are everywhere and the Vegas lifestyle is not one I necessarilty am familiar with or enjoy but I was there to have a good time. It was a fun packed weekend. We arrived on a Saturday and took it easy as Saturday is my day of rest. Once the sun was down we headed out to tour the city. There was so much to do and see.

Though Vegas is a popular destination for bachelor and bachelorette events, for the person who is not getting married, doesn’t gamble or drink, there are fun things to do that will make your Vegas stay memorable. Here is my list of recommended things to do in vegas and sorry they are mainly eating locations:

Shopping at the Las Vegas Premium Outlets- I have been to many outlet plazas in the USA but the one in Vegas is probably the best. It has something for everyone. There are high end stores like Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana and then high street stores like Michael Kors, Nine West and Forever21. The Dolce & Gabbana store was the best. The prices were marked down by 50% and some at 70%. I was amazed.

The Nike outlet store had so much variety for running and exercise gear. Nike has really changed the game and has become a staple in my travel attire. More of that to come. I picked up some fun pieces for the gym for travelling all at about 30% off.

Along with the shopping there was fun snacks like my fav Auntie Anne’s and Dairy Queen to munch on while walking around the huge property. Yes, I know they are unhealthy but they taste sooooo good. I hardly indulge so it as a major treat.

Latenight Burgers at Walhburgers- Every night was a latenight is Vegas! Latenights meant latenight food. One night we stumbled upon a Walhburgers. I have always wanted to try Walhburgers since I saw the reality TV show. We grabbed a “ The Our Burger” with a side of fries and split it in half because it was a quick snack. It was so fresh and juicy. The atmosphere was fun and bright because everyone was in there grabbing a quick bite after running the town.

Attend a Vegas show- So there are tons of shows in Vegas and personally I think they are all the same shiny, glittery, dance filled shows. We received complimentary tickets to a show at the Wynn hotel, called Showstoppers and it was so much fun. The show featured all of the big showtunes from other broadway plays and just historical theatre. Even if you hate theatrical shows, head to at least one in Vegas. It was my husband’s first time and he enjoyed it. It’s all  about the experience.

Brunch Buffet at the Wynn Hotel- So the Wynn is one of the massive and well known hotels in Vegas. My husband, the tour guide, suggested we go there for brunch. I was cool with the idea but what I didn’t know was  how overwhelmingly beautiful the Wynn brunch space would be or that it was a gigantic buffet.  Everything was covered in flower and the candy displays were everywhere. There was endless food and drinks. And they even had my favorite, beef ribs. You could select from a variety of foods including Asian, Indian, North American and Italian. The salad bar was stocked and healthy. Any dessert that you could think of was available.

The food was phenomenal but the best part was the ambiance. I felt like I was in a café in Paris with endless flower displays and arrangments. For someone who loves colour and design like I do, I was in love. Attention. To. Detail. The Wynn, wins!

Exotics Car Racing-  My husband is a car fanatic. For this reason I decided to book him a racing experience with Exotic Racing. We were shuttled from the Wynn hotel in the Exotics Racing bus and drove around 20 minutes away from the hotel.  I felt like were driving through the desert. Ha!

We arrived at the Exotics Racing welcome center, registered and were ushered into an education room where you learn how to drive the exotic cars. My husband was slated to drive the Lambrogini Huracan and the Audi R8. After looking at the mini tutorial video, I thought this may have been a bad idea but the mere fact that there was a tutorial made me feel confident about the safety precautions. I gave my hubby a kiss on the cheek and he was on his way to speeding on the track.

Ladies sometimes you may bring your husband or have your children with you on a trip and you don’t know what to do to entertain them. We can always shop, get our nails done or enjoy high tea. In Vegas, Exotic Racing is the thing every guy or girl should experience.

We were shuttled back to the hotel with a smile on our faces. His, because he was able to fulfill his dream and mine, because I was just awarded wife of the year. Ha!

Dinner at Nobu Las Vegas- Nobu, Nobu, Nobu, Nobu, Nobu, Nobu! Without the song I would have never knew of Nobu or went there. This was my second time going to Nobu. I have been to the Los Angeles location and enjoyed the sushi but I think the Las Vegas location was so beautiful, private and yummy. I felt like we were sitting in woven basket. Each seat was surrounded by a basket like divider with a large round table. We sat in the middle of the room in a satin covered booth. Romantic.

We ordered mainly sushi which was so fresh and the beef kebabs were so tasty. Sometime you go to another location of the restaurant and you feel like it wasn’t worth it. Well, Nobu in Vegas as just as delicious as Nobu in LA. If you can’t get to Nobu in LA, head to Nobu in Las Vegas

Vegas was a good time and I enjoyed myself. I don’t gamble and I don’t drink and I still had a memorable time in Las Vegas. If you don’t gamble or drink Vegas is still a destination you can visit and create great memories.

Have you ever been to Vegas?
What are your favorite spots?
