Treasured: My U of T Sweater

Yes it has bleach marks and holes but I can’t get rid of my University of Toronto sweatshirt. It was one of the first items I bought when attending university and having to let it go will be difficult. I have tried before! It’s hard.

 I went to a Christian school from grade 5 to grade 9 and it was not until heading to public school in grade 10 did I hear about the University of Toronto. I didn’t really know what it was and what was so special about the school. All I knew was that every kid wanted to get in and was determined to graduate. So, I hopped on the band wagon as well.

I researched and found out that the University of Toronto was a well ranked university in Canada and internationally. With a little handwork, focus and drive, I too could get accepted to U of T and graduate. And I did. And so did my brother.

I am a proud University of Toronto Graduate of 2012. I even finished my 4 year program in 3 years.

This sweater even though old, stained and oversized, it is my favourite. I am not letting it go!
