Rushing fashion can be seen all over social where people are picking up 5 pairs of the same shoes with hopes that they are the first to have them and the last person to post them on social. High street stores are rushing to create quick copies of carefully created designer pieces for less than half the price. Then fashion peeps are rushing to buy the borderline replicas. But why? Why rush fashion?
What happened to the days when before buying something you really think about its feasibility in your own closet and not on how many likes it will get on Instagram or how rich it will make you look.
Fashion has a purpose. It’s initial purpose was to cover our bodies but now it tries its very best to cover our egos.
It was becoming frustrating until I realized… “Quills.. Slow it down…think it through. WAIT! “I say all of that to say that I waited for this lovely YSL clutch I received in July and I am happy with it . It is the perect size and colour.
The bag carries well and the metallic colour is versatile.
I can wear it with gold, silver, bronze on grey.
The gold YSL emblem is a classic Saint Laurent element.
The gold tassel is a delicate detail, adding fluidity to the design.
It is just right.
Purchasing luxury pieces can be very expensive so you have to make sure you really want it and it suits your lifestyle and fashion aesthetic. It is much more satisfying that way. When taking into account all of all factors, your new fashion piece becomes a member of your fashion collection instead of an outsider that hurts your head every time you think about it.
Loving my new ‘Kate – Tassel’ Woven Metallic Clutch
