Tropical Flare

Filed in: Fashion

Picture

Drake has us all excited for summer with his hits tropical hits Controlla and  One Dance leading to the inspiration for my outfit. It’s finally summer and I think it is safe to say that winter maybe on its way. Ha! Sorry to burst your bubble. Instead of sulking I have decided to indulge in summer sixteen with loads of colour, print and did I say colour!

Tropical prints have been featured on clothing, handbags, shoes and even wallpaper.  The green leaf print from the Beverly Hills Hotel is all over Instagram and therefore has ended up in everyone’s wardrobe.

I saw this tropical fabric and made it for a birthday party last year. The dress is a simple design with a gathered balloon hem and keyhole neckline. Luckily it still fits and it a great piece for a summer day. I paired my Sparkly So KateLouboutins with this look to keep it simple and not so matchy matchy.

I forgot that I had a similar silver rainbow clutch that I loaned my mom a while back. They match well and add a coolness to the bright print. I think these Louboutins were a good pick even though they are high, the colour is very versatile. My go to Hermes enamel bracelet is always on my wrist.

While wearing this dress I couldn’t help but think of the true beauty of the world around us and the effect every decision we make has on keeping the environment beautiful, colourful and clean. Tropical flare is more than just fashion it is the life around us.

Do you have any tropical pieces?
Are you into the tropical vibe?
