Yuna Yang is a designer who focuses on beauty. This season she hosted her NYFW Spring Summer 2018 show outdoors in a garden. The collection’s theme was ” Save the Earth”. The theme transitioned from being only words and became the beauty and detail of the collection. The models walked the runway to live music and a background of greenery. The background of leaves and trees added to the message of the collection.
The mix of tulle with cotton merged the delicate with the practical. My fav look was the blue accordion pleated skirt with a flowered baseball jacket and combat boots. The model wore a birdcage veil. It was a multi- dimensional look with all different texture and fabrics. I also loved the silver boots created by Dr. Martens exclusively for Yuna Yang. See the image above. |

Ruffles were featured in the collection in pink, cream and blue. The baseball jacket details added a sporty element to the collection. Ruching, bell sleeves and midi skirts were feminine details yet were powerful and bright. The floral prints were clusters of flowers in neon hues.
The ripped denim jeans were appropriately placed in the collection along with the ruffle pants and delicate blouses. There are so many wearable pieces. I could see this collection being worn on a trip to Capri or on the sidelines of a polo match.

Yet again, Yuna Yang delivered a signature collection perfect for woman with an easy style and fascinating aura.
