For me, it is all about the creation of the clothing. I sew and have been sewing for many years. When I look at an article of clothing, the design and structure are the first things I see. Zac Posen also values the craftsmanship of clothing because he pays the utmost attention to each seam, each hem and each button hole.
To attend a Zac Posen show during NYFW was a major deal because it was an opportunity I have been waiting for as a blogger and fashion lover. I have been to New York for fashion shows with Marchesa but a New York Fashion Week Show is the pinnacle of fashion and the fashion industry. It was held at Spring Studios which I must say was a breathtaking, sleek venue.
The lights turned down. The music started. We were ready.
Gold embellished corals, mint green, white and lilac were the hues of choice. Cotton motorcycle jackets with match pants and the tiniest shorts, came down the runway without apology.
To top it all off, each model work a modest Christian Louboutin gladiator sandal to either match the print of their clothing or complimented it to the Tee. I was in amazement at the lovely mix of all races of women walking down on runaway all oozing beauty and timelessness.
I fully emerged all of my senses into what I was seeing, hearing and feeling.
Zac Posen, Thank you for having me.
You are the King of gowns.
Looking forward to next season.
