Along with a beautiful stay in Dubai, there is so much to do. In Dubai there was no shortage of unique experiences. While I was there, everyday was packed with things to do and places to see. As a fashion and travel blogger you want to experience everything… and take gorgeous photos. You want to find your own special spots and share them with others on social media.
Here are my top 5 experiences for any fashion blogger or person who wants to see more than the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
This. Is. A. Must. Visit. The Vogue restaurant is inside the Dubai Mall and on the shoe level. It is magnificient. It is in the middle of the shoe floor! The café is right cross from Dior and Roger Vivier shoe salons.
The tables are marble the menus look like Vogue magazines. The food comes out styled and tastes amazing. Make sure you take as much flatlays as you can. Then head to the entrance of the restaurant and take a photos with the super large Vogue sign.
Box Park is an outdoor shopping and food court that is made from old shipping containers. Some of the containers are stacked to make the stores taller. There are frozen yogurt shops, boutiques and the Marimekko café.
There were so many restaurant options. I really enjoyed lunch at TT Custom BBQ restaurant. Inside the restaurant they had an elevate seating area that you have to use a ladder to climb up into it. The ambience is great and I loved the watermelon freeze slushy. Totally instagrammable. Ha!
If you are going to Dubai, you have to go to the textile district. Just tell the Uber Driver that you want to go to the fabric district and they will know where to drop of you off. This is where you can purchase fabric wholesale and by the yard. Even if you don’t sew, grab a few pieces of fabric for turbans and headbands. There is also great photo opts with all of the fabrics and alleyways. I spent about 4 hours at a store called Regal and I left with over 20 yards of fabric. There were so many beautiful options and I had to have them all.
At night there is so much to do in Dubai. The malls are open late so there is always the temptation to shop all night long but I didn’t give in. What you can do instead is take the gondola in the dancing fountain. There is a fountain outside the Dubai Mall that lights up and is synchronized to music. At night there is a show every hour. You can hop in a gondola and watch the show while in the fountain. It is so romantic and only $25.
Going on a desert safari is a must do in Dubai! I have been twice and it is so worth it. You know those beautiful desert photos you see on Instagram? You have to go on a desert safari to get it those photos. When you book a desert safari you get a drive to the safari, you can hop on ATVs, camels and you get a yummy BBQ dinner.
The entertainment is spectacular with belly dancers and fire throwers. We sat at these low tables and the stage as at the center of the camp. It is perfect for photos of the culture and the beauty of the desert.
Let me know if you go to any of these locations and if you like them.
Get your camera out and starting taking great photos in Dubai.
