Simple Fall Looks with Universal Standard

Loving yourself starts on the inside. You have to build up you self-confidence and self-esteem first before anyone else can see the true beauty in you.  I have been there, looking for clothing to fit your body a certain way without having to be singled out from the rest of the fashion world…

Universal Standard is a collection that is breaking the plus-size fashion industry.  Universal Standard blurs the barrier between style and body size while bringing luxury to each client. Their aesthetic is simple, modern and elevated. I received a few pieces from Universal Standard and I was overjoyed to try the collection. First of all, the quality is exceptional. Both pieces were well made and felt so soft on my skin. The fit was perfect as well. It accentuated my curves and made my feel beautiful. The most unique element of the Universal Standard collection is the size range. It starts at XS( 10-12) up until  XL ( 26-28).  Talk about blurring the lines!

The first look featured the Mae sweater in mustard. This is a must have for Fall.  It can be worn with skirts, tights or jeans. I added a beret for a bit of Parisian chic.  The tie on the waist sinches in your wait and makes you look like a bombshell. I love OTK boots and mini skirts.  Bingo. Issa Look.

The second look featured the Rhine Color Block split top in black and eggshell by Universal Standard. It was a simple black and white color blocked look. Black and white is very chic and makes a statement even without color. This piece from Universal Standard was not only gorgeous but felt comfy while being chic. I threw on a great pair of leggings with leopard pumps. Voila! Issa Look.

Actor Danielle Brooks just launched a full collection with Universal Standard. She is a major advocate with body positivity and beauty. You can check out the new Danielle Brooks collection here and the entire Universal Standard Collection here.
