Zac Posen is literally the American dream. There is so much I can say about my love and admiration for Zac Posen as a fashion designer. He has become a huge part of my career and he doesn’t even know. Ha! I sat my first fashion week show, front row at the Zac Posen show in September of 2016. After attending the show I becamse obsessed with the world of Zac Posen and even more obsessed with gowns.
I recently sat business class with Air Canada and watched the Zac Posen documentary, House of Z. It chronicled Zac’s rise, fall , pivot and overwhelming success. Zac Posen shared his emotional rollercoaster of building a fashion house with his family.

Last week, Neiman Marcus’ Ken Downing ( If you don’t know who he is, please google) brought Zac Posen to San Francisco. They both hosted an afternoon of fashion featuring Zac Posen’s beautiful collection. Together, they welcomed a grand list of guests and commentated the show. Every detail from the fabric selection, colors and prints were described. The show reminded me of fashion shows in the past. It was nostalgic and so intimate.
Neiman Marcus is my fav luxury store in San Francisco. They have welcomed me with open arms and when I shop there I feel like I am at home with all of my favorite fashion collections. I have attended Neiman Marcus events and shows before but they went all out for Zac Posen.
The room was spectacular with pink, purple and golden chairs, flower arrangements and the classic Zac Posen signage. Throughout the room there were displays of Zac Posen’s gorgeous gowns in red, purple and pink tones. There was a red carpet for the models and sparkling water, mimosas and lovely canapes for the guests.

I sat front row and experienced the movement of each gown. I loved listening to the commentary from Ken Downing and Zac Posen. They even discussed who Zac Posen would be will be taking to the Met Gala. We all wanted to know what he would be dressing them in. Wow! We got the exclusive info. You had to be there. Sorry. Ha!

It was a show I will never forget. Don’t tell anyone but in my opinion, the show was better than some of the shows I have attended in New York. Simply because it was smaller, more interactive and much longer than traditional NYFW shows.
At the end of the show I spoke with some of San Francisco’s fashion starlets. I looked to my right and there was Zac Posen. “ Wow, you look amazing” said Zac Posen… to me. My response “Why Thank you and welcome to San Francisco”.
My life was made.
